Pillow Talk

My fabric obsession is a direct link to my pillow obsession. I know I have more pillows than I need, but that is no matter when it comes to creating and updating an inviting place to sit or liven up a room with some color and pattern. It's one of the easiest things to brighten up a space and can be an economical choice as well without buying a whole new set of furniture. I can't say I have a favorite, they are all my little treasures and each one its own personality.
As of late, the entire design industry has been obsessed with suzani, african,  and vintage textiles. I love that handmade look and quality. Vintage fabric can be found almost anywhere these days and there are some great resources online now. Clothing is another way to get vintage fabric. Its a great way to hold onto a sweater or dress you never wear any more but can't bear to throw out. You can also use old drapes and curtains and pair it with a fresh color backing  or graphic to make it new again or plain white, cream, or natural linen.
Have fun with pillows. As my collection grows, so will my real estate.
